This 18"x36" original acrylic, "Fiddlin' Around at the Beach Party" is from my US Trademarked series, "Don't Drink Like a Fish™", with over 300 paintings so far. The fish and crabs are enjoying a day at the beach, swimming in some beach-themed wines and cocktails. They are joined at the party by several fiddler crabs, and a perky pelican is flying overhead.
We've been seeing hundreds of small fiddler crabs along Tampa Bay on our morning walks, which gave me the inspiration for this "Beach Party" and the title. The fiddlers come out of their burrows waving their large claw, and drumming to attract a mate! Also in the mix are several little groups of sandpipers along the breakwater, and a sailboat ketch is cruising in the distance. This piece works well not only in a tropical setting, but also anyplace on the water, or if you wish to add some sunny vibes to your city place, this would be a great choice.
